I had never really seen a deck of tarot cards before, though I had read about them. I was living in Mass and the woman whom I was renting from had a deck. Well she was gone one day and I picked them up and started looking at them when the Tarot reader who rented out the back of her shop came in. She asked me what I was doing and I told her I was looking at these beautiful cards Steph had. She asked me if I knew what they were and I told her I thought they were a tarot deck.
Well I was worried cause Steph was like two hours overdue, so Twink had me shuffle the cards while asking about Steph. She had me do a Celtic Cross layout. I actually just looked at them and instantly knew Stephs car had broken down and she would be home soon.
Then Twink had me lay out each card and tell her what I thought they meant. I went through all 78 of them and she was amazed. She asked me again, are you sure you never saw these cards before and I told her yes. She said it was strange because she had never met a person before who never saw a deck and then got each cards meaning right. She said I did not make one mistake with any of the meanings I gave her.

BB, I have been to NYC, and all the people that show off the I heart NYC shirts and bumper stickers don't live there! The four days I spent there were pure hell. Imagine a migraine headache that does not end. Imagine being calm and feeling nice to feeling like murdering EVERYONE and wanting to puke in less than two minutes. Yeah, I know what NYC is like. And certain areas of the city are worse than others. Plus, I'm from really small town america, so, I tend to prefer a slower pace of life. Not one where I have to be running 20 hours a day or get trampled to death.

Im sure it can be very depressing at times, especially if those around you are just negative. Though, I bet its a nice feeling to come across sincere and positive folks. Thats uplifting. Here in Brooklyn the vibe is 90% negative and so wound up its as if people are on the verge of "pouncing" on others. Sincerity and genuine goodness is rare in my particular neighborhood. Even in good situations many hold back, give little and some hold on to cynical views. Sometimes I want to scream, "just relax, its ok!You dont have to be on guard all the time". Have you ever wanted to change jobs or even cities because of the energies of its people?

When you start actually doing readings, it makes it a bit easier since you are already tuned to the other persons emotions when you are face to face. However, you have no idea how difficult it makes every day life. Just having to work all day around others is a chore and by the time the day is over, you only want to crawl into a dark cave somewhere by yourself and live there for a few days. Just so you can get back to normal. However, that never happens. So the first actual reading I did for someone... I was an adult. At least the first one that I actually recall anyway. Don't think I will ever forget it.
